Technology Director and Head of Engineering with two decades of experience leading large-scale platform modernisation, cloud-native transformation, and AI-enabled engineering acceleration across major UK retail, fintech, and global brands.
I specialise in modernising complex legacy estates, increasing delivery velocity, and aligning engineering strategy tightly with commercial outcomes. My recent work includes rebuilding Recharge's global platform, consolidating 400+ distributed systems into 30 event-driven services in under nine months, directly supporting a €400M+ acquisition.
I lead hybrid engineering organisations of 200+ engineers, embed modern delivery practices, and drive architecture evolution across event-driven, scalable cloud systems and applied AI ecosystems. Recent work includes deploying RAG architectures, AI-assisted developer tooling, and internal platform intelligence.
Beyond enterprise, I'm an indie hacker at heart. I founded and exited Purity Network for £1.4M, and I continue to build and sell startups on the side.
