About Me

Technology Director and Head of Engineering with two decades of experience leading large-scale platform modernisation, cloud-native transformation, and AI-enabled engineering acceleration across major UK retail, fintech, and global brands.

I'm currently on sabbatical, building Poggle, an AI-powered engineering productivity platform, and exploring new product ideas. Before that I spent over five years in consulting, across major UK retailers and fintechs.

My track record includes rebuilding Recharge's global platform, consolidating 400+ distributed systems into 30 event-driven services in under nine months, directly supporting a €400M+ acquisition. Before that, I led engineering transformation across a 300-engineer global organisation at Wunderman Thompson Commerce, driving architecture uplift for FTSE 500 brands including Selfridges and Halfords.

Earlier in my career I held principal engineer and technical lead roles across Sainsbury's, O2, EE, and Rolls-Royce, owning architecture decisions for high-volume transactional systems handling millions of daily interactions. I've deployed RAG architectures, AI-assisted developer tooling, and internal platform intelligence at scale.

Beyond enterprise, I'm an indie hacker at heart. I continue to build and sell startups on the side.
